Western Chimpanzee

Western Chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes verus) is a terrestrial habitat animal in Planet Zoo 2, listed for the Rainforest biome and native to Africa. Its IUCN category in the Zoopedia is "Critically endangered", and it ships with the base game.

Males reach about 1.45 m in length and 50 kg; females about 1.1 m and 40 kg. Use these figures when sizing viewing areas and shelters before the full habitat requirements are confirmed at launch.

For barriers, the Zoopedia export lists grade 3 with a minimum height of 3 m, and it must be climb-proof. A water barrier is allowed (6 m wide, 2 m deep). Mixing it with other species means taking the highest grade and height among them; the barrier planner does that for you.
